The DVD format wins, for many reasons.
- Bandwidth costs money, and it's cheaper via USPS than what I'd have to pay for downloads of an acceptable quality computer file.
- Minimizing copying would be nice, especially since I really need the bucks these days.
- I'd also like to be able to reach people without computer-savvy and/or high-speed connections. Then if anyone ever actually wanted to see the beastie, I could advertise in print media.
- Besides, designing DVD layouts is really fun.
I'm meditating on how to break down the shawl process into a coherent narrative. That's hard: this is stuff I do on the right side of the brain, and it never passes through the speech processing center. (Plus if I'm going to videotape my barn-damaged hands, I should probably grow minimal fingernails and get a manicure first :)
In the meantime, I'm knitting another quick hat to add to the sale collection as long as it's too wet to dye yarn for the shawl video.
