Shearing day for the Shetland fleeces I've reserved is February 28. Hail Bonnie, Cane and Darci (the sheep) on that frabjous day!

I've been working on spinning laceweight, and have had Shetland on my mind lately. Where are yours coming from? I have a small sample here that's white with black hairs sprinkled through it, and I'd *love* to find more like that!

Mine are coming from Twin Springs Farm. I don't have the list of sheep handy, but they have a wide range of colors and patterns.

Shearing? Does that mean this interminable winter will have an end!?

It probably just means a lot of cold sheep!
