RE: the HL936 I bought it on Friday for $1469 including the wheeled tapestry travel case. Was bidding on one on ebay that was 4 years old. The owner was a college student at MSU in Lansing. It went for $950, more than I wanted to spend on one without taking for a test drive.
I was told by the shop owner that if I would wait until the the end of the Home Sewing Expo here Oct. 1-3, they put the models that they use for the expo classes on deep discount and still honor the warranty. I didn't want to wait, because I have a free week right now to stay at home and experiement, and I was using $ from my Mom's estate and she passed a year ago this month.
