Run away!

Aaaaaah! It's death-by-freshmen day! I've already seen someone making a right turn from a left turn lane, so I'm planning to hide for the rest of the weekend.

At least I will make stupendous progress on the shawl edging - I'm about halfway across one side right now - and I'll be starting at 4 am tomorrow to watch the second day of team dressage. (Amazingly, once you take out the commercials, as I have, NBC has shown 9.5 hours of the equestrian competition so far. That's a lot more than I expected, and there's more on the schedule.)

Death by freshman is no longer a personal threat to me, thanks to last month's layoff! Your new projects and concerns are interesting as ever, and I miss being closer to your productive self! Email me sometime and we'll arrange to roast a glass of wine and wile away a few hours...
