I signed up for the Handwoven advisory panel ages ago and heard nothing - until today. The sole question was (paraphrasing): Knitting has been called the new yoga. What health benefits have you gotten from weaving?
Hmmm, I can single-handedly fling a shuttle at the head of anyone who asks such an idiotic question? I do hate new age crapola ever so much.
The Keesmere afghan sold for $150. That works out to less than 0.075 cents per stitch, or at my knitting speed, a little over a buck an hour. Be still my heart!
Do I have you pegged! I didn't get around to opening Handwoven's link until this morning. I was ready to rant away, but thought I would check here first. Do you believe it? And this is what they are going to be sending out as press releases! Bah.
Your afghan was beautiful and someone got a real bargain. At least the money goes to a good cause.

Well...I wasn't even contacted by HW, tho' I signed up as well. However if that's the depth of their thought for the advisory panel, it explains a lot about magazine content.
I hope the afghan recipient appreciates the deal they got! And it's $150 that the dogs wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
