I call this the "never lose the kid in a snowbank hat". As proof, I photographed it on top of Moby, the great winter whale of snow created from shoveling the front walk. It's handspun 3-ply corriedale in variegated purple and pink.
It was actually snowing when I took the picture. We went from about 50F yesterday to 10F right now.
Ok, I've behaved myself until now, but I can't hold it in any longer. Can I ask what the gauge is on these hats you've been making? Ballpark? Range?

The hats run 5 to 7 stitches per inch in stockinette, depending on the yarn. Compared to lace shawls, they're really quick knits :) Unfortunately, since they're not in machine washable yarns, I can't do them for any of the charity programs.

I like your hats very much, when you said you use 3ply is this equal to bulky? And another question, do you have the pattern for the "Pasque Flower Shawl"? where did you find it? and your "Keesmere cape" do you also have a pattern? I love your creations, they are unique in beauty.

What a great name for that hat!! It's gorgeous. The color even makes it look warm! Sounds like you got some of the weather that's in the news this AM.

What a bright, pretty hat! Sure won't lose them! And it looks like it could cure the "not another snowfall" blues.
