A little spinning

Before warping the loom again, I decided to spin some multi-colored merino roving I'd bought a few months ago. As you can see, I'm spinning it rather fine, and the final 2-ply will become a lace shawl (surprise, surprise).

It's a nice change of pace to spin again. Oh to be an octopus and tackle more than one craft at a time!

Pretty yarn!! I know what you mean about being an octopus! However, I need the brain matter to accompany the extra appendages.

beautiful yarn! Yes, I call it cross training: I don't think I could have sustained an interest for all of these years without a bit of relief, back and forth, between weaving, spinning and knitting.

Lace work
