Doll sweater in action

E061007ella01_1 My mother sent me this picture of Emma's doll, whose name is Ella Grace, in the OXOX sweater. She seems to be wearing it over a jacket, so given that, I'm pretty pleased with the fit.

I've been busy swatching and editing. My new Schaefer pattern for a cabled hat and seaman's scarf (in a very spiffy lambswool, cashmere and angora yarn) should be going to retailers next week.

Also, I've added a construction diagram to the beaded diamonds shawl pattern, because it seems that readers didn't understand the direction of knitting. Apparently, knitting edgings on perpendicularly to the body is unfamiliar to many.

And Cookie, Dog of Mystery, continues to have kidney function. That's how she gets her nickname :)

Beautiful sweater and it looks like a perfect fit. Emma knows the advantages of layering as the weather gets colder.
