Wonderful word!

Clare Smith published a list of the best Scottish words in the Scotsman, and there's a truly wonderful fiber word in there:

FANKLE
Applied to wool that becomes tangled up, but can now be used to mean any sort of muddle, such as: "Oh, my earphones for my brand new 40GB iPod Nano are in a proper fankle."

Love it!

Hey if I could get a green or blue 40G Nano I wouldn't gae a fankle about the headphones.

Lace work
