Fourteen deer decided to have a meeting in my yard yesterday afternoon. This is not uncommon during hunting season. The deer seem to know that they won't be hunted near the house.

They know exactly how long a flexi-lead is and retreat only that far. Then the does will stand in front of the fawns and stamp their hooves.
(Although Buki almost caught one not too long ago. We were out in the very dark 5:30am. When we came around the corner of the house, I felt Buki lunge and saw a dark shadow run. He was very disappointed :)

Back in the dark ages (as in pre-1987), I used to knit sweaters. Nowadays, I rarely do, so I'll use this album to record some of what I have done and may yet to be.
